Class of 2018 Donates $28,000 to Cornerstone Credit Union Foundation for the benefit of future graduates.

The SCMS Scholarship Fund, administered by the Cornerstone Credit Union Foundation, helps students with expenses so they're able to attend the SCMS program. This year, the Foundation, in coordination with the SCMS Scholarship Committee, awarded more than $72,000 in scholarships to 44 percent (51) of the student body, which included not only graduates but first- and second-year students as well.

During the 46th SCMS graduation, the 41 students of the Class of 2018, who named themselves the Class of Innov18, donated $28,000 to the SCMS Scholarship Fund, paying it forward for those who follow in their footsteps. Fully 100 percent of the money raised goes to the fund.

"The Southwest CUNA Management School, Class of 2018, has shown remarkable passion and dedication, and we are so very grateful for their generous donation of $28,000," said Foundation Executive Director Courtney Moran. "I can think of no better way to demonstrate our People Helping People philosophy than to pay it forward, which ensures that the Foundation is able to provide opportunities for future students. Thank you so much for making a difference in the lives of so many."

Plan now to be part of the SCMS Class of 2021, registration for which opens soon. Prospective students may visit SCMS.coop for an information request form or to request advance notice of the opening of enrollment and scholarships for next summer’s school.
