The Cornerstone Credit Union Foundation is preparing for its 6th Annual Festival of Trees, which takes place on Wednesday, Nov. 16, from 5:30-8 p.m., at the Credit Union House of Oklahoma. This annual event is a crowd favorite and a great way to give creatively during the holiday season.
All Cornerstone credit unions are invited to attend the festivities, which will feature live music, complimentary wine, cocktails, hors d'oeuvres, and prizes. The biggest excitement of the night will happen when the Foundation auctions off Christmas trees, wreaths, stockings, and some fun surprises.
Funds raised from the Festival of Trees will help the Foundation fulfill its mission of empowering people to improve their financial wellbeing. The Foundation is dedicated to promoting financial education programs for youth and adults, providing access to professional development for credit union staff and volunteers, and offering financial relief for credit union staff when disaster strikes.
Unable to Attend the Festival in Oklahoma?
No problem! Cornerstone credit unions and chapters that are unable to participate in the live Festival of Trees can still participate by auctioning off their own tree, wreath, or stocking at their November or December chapter meetings, and simply donate the proceeds to the Foundation. The Foundation just asks that you share photos of your auctioned items for display at the main event in Oklahoma City and on the Foundation's website.
