Cornerstone Credit Union Foundation Executive Director Courtney Moran recently appeared on the Home and Family Finance Show to discuss family financial issues.
The show's host is Paul Berry, a longtime Washington, DC, radio and TV personality and the master of ceremonies for Credit Union National Association’s Governmental Affairs Conference each year. CUNA sponsors the weekly radio broadcast.
Berry invited Moran, a Credit Union Development Educator, to be his guest to discuss family financial issues as they relate to credit unions and the financial literacy of their members. That includes not only the financial education of children, but adults as well. Because everyone's financial knowledge and experience are different, the areas of focus are not just literacy but financial capabilities, management, and freedom, a tailored aspect of the training designed to address the audience's specific needs.
Moran focused on the proactive work involved in ensuring members are financially literate in addition to train-the-trainer sessions with credit union staff. To learn much more, listen to the episode here.
