Financial Counseling Certification Program Full Independent Self-Study (FiCEP)

This is a unique training program for credit union staff that combines the convenience of a self-study program without the time restraints of an enhanced FiCEP program.

You can begin the program at a time and date that is convenient for you.

Resources and Proctoring

  • Webinars are recorded and are accessible at any time.
  • After students complete Part I and Part II, they will take proctored tests at the Cornerstone offices in Plano, Texas.
  • If you cannot attend the scheduled testing sessions, you must coordinate your own proctor.

Become a Certified CU Financial Counselor (CCUFC)

Students learn the skills and knowledge necessary to assist and empower members to improve their financial well-being. With this certification, you can:

  • Help those experiencing financial difficulties;
  • Reduce delinquencies and charge-offs;
  • Grow product and service revenue;
  • Demonstrate the credit union difference; and
  • Attract new members.

Low Cost

$150 fee includes:

  • Access to webinars and study guides
  • Proctored testing at Cornerstone Credit Union Foundation:
    6801 Parkwood Blvd., Suite 300
    Plano, TX 75024
  • Students are responsible for transportation to and from the proctored testing site in Plano.
  • Students must register separately for study materials and the exam through the Credit Union National Association website. (These costs are in addition to the $150 fee listed below.)
